Before there was Optimus vs Megatron. Before there was Picard vs the Borg. Before there was 300 Spartans vs Persia...uh...wait. Analog vs Digital, take it as it is. A never ending battle between Swiss and Casio. or Paper vs Cintiq. or Man(or Woman) vs Machine(or woman machine).

Non-survival of the least fit

Throughout history, science has celebrated the animals that had the upper hand. When a positive characteristic favors survival it is called adaptation. This drawing challenge is to remember the animals that never had a chance. The animals whose speciation became a greater handicap than an advantage.

Cooties

As flu season is coming to an end, another threat is on the rise, Cooties. Hopefully with this post we'll be able to identify the symptoms, know what threats to look for on Valentine's Day, and use the available treatments in fighting this pandemic.

2007 Holiday Card

It's time to start thinking about our annual holiday card. Once again, we are asking you, the extremely talented artists of Blue Sky, to design the card. Last year Jake Parker wowed everyone with his original Scrat design; this year we'd like to send out a Horton themed card. The deadline is November 1st and this challenge is open to the entire studio. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Christina

Can no on defeat the Ping-Ponginator? - Goosaba

This guy got served too. -Thomas

The Ping-Ponginator is getting challenged.
Here comes Marty Reisman - brendan

After his humbling defeat at the hands of the Ping-Ponginator, Marty Reisman turned his pain into rage and decided to enter the Octagon. After a few years of training, pumping up and kicking ass, just being the world champ wasn't enough. He decided to take up his life long dream, chainsaw juggling! That is, until that fateful day...... - Goosaba

Little did the Ping-Ponginator know that Hermano, Marty Reisman's brother, would avenge the loss of his brother's hands. In the middle of Hermano devouring his opponent, a team of conservationists mistake Hermano's massive physique for that of a beached sperm whale wrestling a giant squid. Luckily for Ping-Ponginator, Hermano became seasick in the liberators dinghy and was thrown up into the ocean. Unfortunately in that ocean were also lazer equipped "ping-pong-playing-octopus eating" sharks. - brendan

David and Goliath

Lets breath a little life into this forsaken blog, shall we? The Out of Picture deadline has passed, some of us have rolled off of Horton and there's a little more time in the day for diversions such as this.

The challenge for this week is David and Goliath, the story of the Israelite boy who slew the giant Philistine warrior. You can read the Biblical account here, and the Qur'anical account here (249-251). It is the original underdog story, a classic tale of the little overcoming the big, a simbol of the weak being made strong, and it is ours to tackle this week.
